Summary A form element you've built in the form builder, such as a table, can be put into the SD itself. You drag a note into the SD, open the forms option in the note editor, choose the element, add it and save. People can then fill it in directly in the SD, for example adding rows to the table, without opening the form builder.
Steps
Before you start. Build the form element in the form builder first. If you're new to SD Forms, go through the SD Forms module before this one.
Step 1
In the form builder, with your element on the canvas, click Back to SD, the purple button at the top of the menu on the left. The SD opens.
Step 2
Drag and drop a note into the SD. In the row of purple buttons at the top of the SD, to the left of the search box, the Note icon is the second from the left: a pencil. Click and hold it, drag it into the SD and let go. A new row appears in the SD.
Step 3
The note editor, titled New Note, slides out on the right of the screen.
Step 4
Under the note editor's text box is a row of five buttons. Click the forms button (a small form), the last on the right. A box titled insert ... opens, with its Form Element tab selected.
Step 5
Under Pick Form Field from selection below, click the Select... box. It lists the elements in the form, each by its name with its reference in brackets. Click the element you want to put into the SD. If the form has only one element, it is the only option shown.
Step 6
Click Add Form Control, the long button under the select box. The element is added to the note's text box.
Step 7
Click Save at the bottom left of the New Note panel.
Step 8
The panel closes, and the note's row in the SD shows the form element, ready to fill in. A table shows its column headings, with a round + at the left end of the heading row.

Step 9
To add a row to the table, click the + icon at the left end of the heading row. A new empty row appears under the headings.
Step 10
Click a box under any column and start filling it in. The box opens for typing straight away, and a green save icon shows at the left of the row.
