Summary Creating your SD Map is a critical initial step in setting up PaT, and it makes the rest of the set-up run smoothly. The PaT SD Map overview SD explains what an SD Map involves. This module shows its three sections: an introduction with step-by-step guidance, an interactive demo of how to set up your organisational SD Map, and a section of definitions and key principles.
Next: PaT SD Map Presentation, which takes you through the whole SD Map.
Steps
Step 1
Open the PaT SD Map overview SD. It has three sections, from the top: SD Map Introduction, How to set up your Organisational SD Map and Useful knowledge.
Step 2
Start with SD Map Introduction. It gives a brief overview and step-by-step guidance on creating your own SD Map, under three headings: What is an SD Map?, What is an SD (quick overview) and Preparing to set up your own SD Map.
Step 3
How to set up your Organisational SD Map is an interactive demo and deep dive into setting up your organisation's SD Map. To open it, click the downwards arrow at the far left of the section's row, just right of the three short lines. The section expands and the arrow turns to point up.
Step 4
The demo plays inside the section. It opens on the Recursive Organisational SD Map Algorithm diagram, with a purple card titled How to set up your SD Map. Click Next on the card to move through the demo.
Step 5
Expand Useful knowledge, the last section, the same way. It holds definitions and key principles: Definitions, Linking PARs, Embedding SD Links, SD Links and SD Security. Get to know them, so you grasp the SD Map concept thoroughly.
