Summary You can insert three types of link into an SD element such as a note: a task link, an SD link and a URL link. A task link points to a task in your Work in Progress list, an SD link points to another current SD you belong to, and a URL link points to a web address, under a title you choose.
Steps
Introduction. Adding links is a great way to give additional context and information, helping others understand the SD without needing to leave the PaT environment.
Step 1
You can add links to any of the elements in your SD; these steps use a note. In the row of purple buttons above the SD's section headers, click and hold the Note icon (a pencil), the second from the left. Drag it into the SD and let go. The New Note panel opens on the right of the screen.

Step 2
Under the note's text box is a row of five small buttons. Three of them insert the three types of link: task, SD and URL. Click the task link button, the second from the left (a tick in a box). The insert ... panel opens on its Task Links tab.
Step 3
In the Search WIP Tasks ... box, under Search for a Task, type some of the task's name. The search looks through all the tasks currently in your Work in Progress list.
Step 4
Matching tasks are listed below the box, each with its assignor and status. Click the task you want, and its name fills the search box.
Step 5
Click Add Task as a Link, under the search box. The task's name appears in the note as a link.

Step 6
Click the SD link button, the third from the left under the note's text box (crosses and circles). The insert ... panel opens again, on its SD Links tab.
Step 7
Choose the SD you want to link to, and start typing its name in the Search ... box under Search for an SD.
Step 8
You can type any part of the SD's name, and it will come up: you don't need to start with its first word. The search covers all the current SDs you are part of. Click the SD in the list of results.
Step 9
Click Add SD as a Link, under the search box. The SD's name appears in the note as a link.
Inserting a URL link
Step 10
Click the URL link button, the fourth from the left (a chain link). The insert ... panel opens on its URL Link tab.
Step 11
In Link Title, type a title for the link. A custom title keeps the note clean and makes it easier for the reader to understand the purpose of the link at a glance.
Step 12
In Link Url, under the title, paste the web address. As the box's hint says, include http:// or https:// for websites.
Step 13
Click Add URL Link. The link appears in the note, showing your title instead of the web address.
Step 14
Check that each link you added shows in the note, then click Save at the bottom left of the panel.
