Summary PaT Lite is a training portal for people new to PaT, often temporary staff or new customers. It teaches the essentials of the PaT Learning Management System (LMS): everything you need to know before you start on the full PaT platform. You log in with your email address and the registration code you were given, and everything is on one page: your certification percentage and rankings, and the modules set for your training. For each module you read the document, watch the video if there is one, then take the quiz. If you fail a quiz a second time, your supervisor can unlock the module. You can also search for modules and raise a help desk ticket.

Steps

Introduction. This module covers why the LMS matters, how to run your first learning session (putting knowledge into action), and how to find modules by searching for them.

Why the LMS matters. How can you be brilliant if you've never been shown what brilliance looks like? The LMS exists to set you up for success. It gives you: - High-quality training: learn exactly what you need to excel in your role. - A knowledge hub: everything you need, in one place. - Career growth: the more you learn, the more valuable you become. Learning isn't just a requirement, it's a superpower. People are naturally curious, and learning and improving is how we stay ahead, grow and earn more. The LMS is built to support that.

Step 1

Log in with your email address as your username and the registration code given to you by the staff member who set up your account. On the Your adventure starts here page, enter your email in Username - enter your email here, then your First Name and Last Name, and the code in Enter Registration code. Tick I agree to privacy policy & terms, then click Sign up. (If you already have an account, click Sign in instead, below Sign up.)

Step 2

PaT Lite opens on a single page. Everything you need is on it, and there are no other pages to go to. At the top centre of the screen, Certification shows your certification percentage. It goes up as you complete modules, and shows 100% when you are fully certified.

Step 3

At the top left, under my eLearning, the My Rankings box shows your certification stats as well, and where you are ranked within your role, department and site (By Role, By Dept and By Site).

Step 4

Below My Rankings is the list of your training modules, ready for you to complete. The modules loaded on your account are specific to the training you need. Each module shows its name and ID, with icons on the right to read it, watch it and take its quiz.

Working through a module

Step 5

To start a module, click its document icon (a page with lines on it), the first of the icons on the right of the module.

Step 6

The module's document opens on the right of the page, with the information you need to learn about the module. Read it, make sure you understand it, then close it.

Step 7

Some modules also have a video icon (a video camera) between the document icon and the quiz icon. If there is one, the module has a video you can also watch with the information, which helps if you find it easier to learn from videos. Click the video icon. A box opens with the heading Click on a title below to view the video.

Step 8

Click the video's title in the box to open and watch the video.

Step 9

When you have finished, click Close at the bottom of the box.

Taking the quiz

Step 10

When you are ready to take the quiz, click the module's quiz icon: the question mark on the right of the module.

Step 11

The quiz opens in a box headed with the module's name. At the top it shows which question you are on, such as Question 1 of 3, with the question itself just below.

Step 12

The possible answers are listed below the question.

Step 13

Click the answer you think is correct, then click Next Question at the bottom of the box.

Step 14

The next question appears, with different answers.

Step 15

Again, click the answer you think is correct, then click Next Question.

Step 16

If you get the answers right, the box shows SUCCESS and the message Congratulations! Great job, your work here is done. Click the x at the top right of the box to close it.

Step 17

If you fail the quiz, the box shows OOPS instead, and lists the questions you got wrong under Failed Questions.

Step 18

A message also appears in the bottom left corner of the screen. Don't worry if you fail on your first attempt: everyone makes mistakes, and you get another chance. Take note of the questions you got wrong, go back to the module's document and/or video to work out where you went wrong, then re-sit the quiz. If you fail a second time, you are locked out of the module. Contact your supervisor and ask them to unlock it, and ask for help if you need it. They are there to help you.

Step 19

Then move on to the next module in your list.

Finding modules and getting help

Step 20

To find a module, search for it in the search modules ... box below the list of modules.

Step 21

If you need help or have a question, lodge a ticket with the help desk team: click the help desk button (a headset) at the top right of the screen, just left of log out.

Result. Each module you complete raises your certification percentage, until you are 100% certified. The LMS is your key to growing, excelling and earning more, and each PaT Lite training session puts that knowledge into action.
