Summary A completion notification tells a person you choose, the auditor, when someone completes a module: the auditor receives both an email and a task. It helps you stay on top of learner progress, especially when you need to track the completion of specific modules or full training sets. You set it up in Module Admin, by adding an audit of the type Notification to the module. Once the notification is activated and saved, PaT automatically sends the email and the task when a learner completes the module.
Steps
Step 1
Switch to the tile view: click the toggle switch in the row of icons at the top right of the screen, between the gauge and the headset. The tile view opens, with a list of menus below the tiles.
Step 2
Click Learning Management System (LMS) in that list to expand it. Its tiles appear: LMS Metrics, Feedback, Academy, Module Admin and my Learning.
Step 3
Click the Module Admin tile, fourth in the row. Module Admin expands, with the module types on the left and the list of modules on the right.
Step 4
Find the module you want to set a notification for in the list of modules.
Step 5
Click the magic pen (edit) button at the right end of the module's row, in the edit column. The Module Publisher opens for the module.
Setting up the notification
Step 6
In the Module Publisher, click the audit button: the third of the icons below the PaT logo at the top left, a checklist with a person. The create/edit an audit window opens.
Step 7
Click the Audit Type drop-down, at the top left of the window.
Step 8
Select Notification.
Step 9
Click the Auditor drop-down, to the right of Audit Type, and select the person to notify. The auditor will receive both an email notification and a task confirming that someone has completed the module.
Step 10
Tick the Active box, below the Pre-Audit Checklist on the right of the window, to activate the notification.
Step 11
Click Save, to the right of Active. Once the notification is activated and saved, PaT automatically sends the email and the task when a learner completes the module.
Step 12
If you want the module to appear last in its set, change its precedence order in the Prec* Order box at the top right of the Module Publisher, to the right of the module's name. For example, setting it to 100 makes it the final module, while the other modules in the group should be numbered 1-99.
Result. Once someone completes the module, the auditor receives the task notification. They also receive an email notification at their security email address.
