Summary When many modules fall due together, PaT can pace the escalations that follow. In System Config, Escalation/Recertification Throttle is how many overdue recertification or audit escalations each person gets at a time, and Escalation/Recertification Delay is how many days the rest wait. System Activity charts the throttled recertifications.
Steps
Step 1
On your dashboard, open System Administration and click System Config.
Step 2
Find Escalation/Recertification Throttle and Escalation/Recertification Delay (days).
Step 3
Throttle is the number of overdue recertification and audit escalations each person gets at a time. Leave it empty, or 0, to send them all at once.
Step 4
Delay is the number of days the rest wait: when a person has more than the throttle, the deadlines of the others move out by the delay plus one day, and they are paced again when they fall due.
Step 5
Only recertification and audit escalations are paced. Other overdue tasks escalate straight away.
Step 6
Click Submit at the bottom of System Config to save.
Step 7
To see the effect, open System Activity and click Recertifications. It charts historical, forecast and throttled recertifications over the number of days you choose.
