Summary A manager can turn on Out of Office (OOF) for a member of their staff. From the tile view, open Ready to sit, find the staff member in your staff list, open their calendar and drag the OOF tile onto it. Setting their OOF helps prevent tasks being assigned to them by mistake and makes sure deadlines are managed while they are away.

Steps
Note. Ideally, staff set their own OOF. A manager steps in when a staff member can't get to a computer, for example during unexpected sick leave, and sets the OOF on their behalf.
Step 1
Click the toggle button at the top right of the page, between the green gauge and the headset icon. Your tile view opens.
Step 2
In the Operational excellence row, click the blue Ready to sit tile on the left. A panel opens under the tiles, with your Staff list on the right.
Step 3
In your staff list on the right, find the staff member whose OOF you want to set. Click the calendar icon on their row, under the Certificate button. Their calendar opens.
Step 4
Drag the blue oof tile (the OOF button) at the top left, under Refresh, and drop it onto the calendar. This sets the staff member's OOF period.
Note. The panel beside the calendar explains what OOF does: - Tasks: users cannot create a task for the staff member with a deadline that falls within the OOF period. - Escalations: most escalations (modules, audits, tasks) will not escalate until PaT can find a deadline that does not fall within the OOF period, so they may be delayed. WSOL escalations are the exception: they keep escalating during OOF, due to their serious nature.
