Summary A multi-task is one task given to several people at once. Each person gets their own copy to complete, so you don't have to create a separate task for each of them. Create it inside an SD and the SD shows everyone's progress in one place: who has finished, who has asked for more time, who has missed the deadline and who hasn't started yet.
Steps
Step 1
Open the SD the task belongs to.
Step 2
Find the row of purple buttons above the SD's section headers. The Task icon is the fourth from the left: a tick in a box.
Step 3
Click and hold the Task icon, drag it onto the SD, and let go under the section header the task belongs to. A new task row appears there, and the Insert a task panel opens on the right of the screen.
Step 4
In Assign To, put the first person the task is for.
Step 5
To give the task to more people, click the Members icon (two people) to the right of Assign To. The CC Assignee's panel opens.
Step 6
Click the + at the top right of the panel.
Step 7
Add each person: type their name in the search box at the top, or click them in the Recent Assignee's list below it. Everyone you add appears in the CC Assignee's list. To take someone off, click the minus sign at the end of their row.
Step 8
When everyone is on the list, click the back arrow at the bottom left of the panel to return to Insert a task.
Step 9
In Task, describe what needs to be done, in up to 100 characters.
Step 10
Set the Deadline, then click Submit.
Step 11
Everyone now has the task: the person in Assign To and each CC assignee. In the SD, the task's row starts with "CC:" and shows the first person under Action By.

Step 12
On the task's row in the SD, click the small SD button just to the left of the paperclip.
Step 13
A page opens for the task, with one row per person: their name under Action By and their deadline under Action Date.
Step 14
The colour of each row shows where that person is: - Green: they have completed the task. - Blue: they have asked to postpone it, and the request is waiting for approval. - Red: they have missed the deadline. - Black: they haven't acted yet, and the task isn't overdue.
Tip. You can also create a task from the PaT Menu, the round + button at the bottom of the screen, by choosing Create Task. Create it inside an SD, as above, when you want the view of everyone's progress.
