Summary Endpoints are PaT's data sources: the lists of tasks, form responses and other records that dashboards and grids are built from. The Endpoint Manager, opened from any SD's Advanced tab, lets you search and preview them, and copy a base endpoint into your own user-defined endpoint (UDF) that you can then customise.
Steps
Step 1
Open an SD and click the Advanced tab.
Step 2
In the menu on the left, under PaT BI, click SD Endpoint Manager.
Step 3
The Endpoint Manager lists the endpoints you can use, with a count such as "625 of 625 endpoints". They're grouped as Last viewed, Draft Endpoints and Live Endpoints.
Step 4
Type in "Search sources..." to find an endpoint by name, or open Advanced Filters to filter by Connection, Categories, Status and Type (All, Base or UDF).
Step 5
Each card shows where the data comes from (for example Task Management or Form Responses) and whether the endpoint is Public or Private.
Step 6
Click an endpoint to see its details on the right, with a preview of its data.
Step 7
To make your own version of a base endpoint, click Build UDF Endpoint on its card.
Step 8
In "Build UDF Endpoint?", click Build Endpoint. This creates a copy of the base endpoint that you can customise. Its name starts with "UDF:" followed by your name and the endpoint's name.
Step 9
For a Grid Form Responses endpoint, you first choose which grid table on the form the UDF is for. Grid tables must already exist on the form.
Step 10
Your new UDF appears in the list with a 🚀 Edit Endpoint button, which opens it for configuring (see the module on configuring a UDF).
Step 11
Only administrators see Add New, Edit Details and Archive on the endpoints themselves.
