Summary You can embed a Strategy Document (SD) within another SD. Drag the SD element from the elements toolbar into your SD, give the new SD a title in the panel that slides in on the right, and submit to create the embedded SD. Clicking its strategy icon opens it, with the Parent SD structure pathway shown above it.
Steps
Step 1
Open your SD. The elements toolbar is the row of purple buttons above the SD's content. Click and hold the SD element, the fifth button (a strategy icon of crosses, circles and an arrow), drag it to where you want to place it in your SD, and let go. The SD Elements module covers dragging and dropping SD elements.
Step 2
A new row appears where you let go. At the same time the Insert an SD panel slides in from the right, asking you to give the embedded SD a title.
Step 3
In SD Name, at the top of the panel, enter a name for your new SD.
Step 4
Click Submit, at the bottom left of the panel.
Step 5
The new embedded SD is created. It shows in your SD as a row with its name.
Opening the embedded SD
Step 6
To open the new embedded SD, click the strategy icon at the right end of its row, just left of the paperclip.
Step 7
The embedded SD opens in a new tab, beside its parent SD's tab at the top of the screen. Above the embedded SD you can also see the Parent SD structure pathway: the SDs it sits within, from the top level down, ending with its own name.
