Summary You can put Outlook inside PaT, so you can read and send email without leaving it. Install the Ignore X-Frame headers extension from the Chrome Web Store and switch it on, sign in to Outlook once, then add Outlook's web address as a favourite on PaT's intranet. Clicking the favourite opens your mailbox in a PaT tab.
Steps
Introduction. Embedding Outlook into your PaT workspace lets you access your Outlook emails directly in PaT, so you can manage your inbox and keep emailing without switching between platforms.
Setting up your browser
Step 1
Install the Ignore X-Frame headers extension from the Chrome Web Store: on the extension's page in the store, click Add to Chrome, at the top right.
Step 2
Once the extension is installed, go to your list of Chrome extensions, click the more options menu for Ignore X-Frame headers, and click Manage Extension. The extension's details page opens.
Step 3
On the details page, make sure the extension's toggles are switched on: On, at the top, and Pin to toolbar, Allow in Incognito and Allow access to file URLs, further down.
Step 4
Sign in to Microsoft Outlook in your browser. Once you are signed in, the computer stores a session cookie, so you can keep using Outlook without needing to sign in again.
Adding Outlook to your favourites
Step 5
Go to PaT and click the intranet button, the globe at the top left of the screen, just left of the Task Wall tab. The Intranet panel opens on the left.
Step 6
In the Intranet panel, click My Favourites to expand it.
Step 7
Under My Favourites, click add a url. The add URL box opens over the panel.
Step 8
In the first box, enter the title Outlook.
Step 9
In the enter URL box under it, enter Outlook's web address. Try https://office.outlook.com first, as Microsoft may route you there based on your account. If it doesn't work, use https://outlook.office365.com, the most stable and universally compatible link. Then click the green tick, to the right of the drop-down list under the address, to save the link.
Step 10
Your new Outlook link appears under My Favourites, above add a url. When you click it, an Outlook tab opens in your PaT workspace.
Step 11
From now on, click your saved Outlook link to open your email directly in PaT. It opens in a tab at the top of the screen, beside Task Wall and Chat Wall, so you can access and manage your emails within PaT.
