Summary When a staff member doesn't pass a training module, it's their manager's responsibility to unlock it so they can try again. First talk with them about what they found hard. Then open your tile view, click the Ready to sit tile under Operational excellence, find the staff member in your Staff list, click the padlock on their row and click UnLock.
Steps
Step 1
Talk to the staff member first. When they approach you about a failed module, ask them why they think they didn't pass, and discuss whether they feel they need extra support or further training in a particular area. This is an opportunity to identify knowledge gaps and offer guidance or resources to help them succeed. Once you're confident they have a clearer understanding of the content, unlock the module to allow them another attempt.
Unlocking the module
Step 2
Click the toggle switch in the row of icons at the top right of the screen, between the gauge and the headset. Your tile view opens.
Step 3
Under Operational excellence, click Ready to sit, the first of its four tiles (blue, with a graduation cap). A page opens, with the Staff list on the right.
Step 4
The Staff list shows the staff members who report to you, each with their Integrity and Certification percentages. Find the staff member whose module you are unlocking.
Step 5
On their row, click the padlock icon, just below the Certificate button. Their locked module appears on the left of the page, with an UnLock button at the right end of its row.
Step 6
If it is a priority module, a message appears at the bottom left of the screen: "Your staff member has priority modules to sit - so their normal modules cannot be accessed until the priority modules have been passed". The staff member must complete the priority module before they can continue with the rest of their learning.
Step 7
Click UnLock, at the right end of the module's row.
Result. The module is unlocked: your staff member can try it again and continue their learning.
