AI Summary: a quick summary of an SD

Summary The AI Summary tab on an SD writes a short report from the SD's rows and chats: its purpose, its status, key activity and open actions, each linked to the chats it came from.

Steps

Step 1

Open the SD. In its menu bar, click AI Summary (scroll the menu bar to the right if you can't see it).

Step 2

Choose the type of summary: Full Summary: the whole SD. Last Viewed Summary: only what has changed since you last opened the SD.

Step 3

Wait while it's written; it can take up to a minute. It opens in a panel on the right.

Step 4

At the top are the SD's name and type, when it was created, and the date of the summary. Below them are counts of the SD's rows, sections, action points (open and done), messages, and threads active in the last 14 days.

Step 5

Under Summary are Purpose, Status now, Key activity and Open actions. Each point shows when it happened and the chat messages it's based on (its sources), each with a short quote and an Open chat link.

Step 6

Further down are the SD's workstreams and its busiest threads.

Step 7

Click Download to save the summary, or Pop Out to open it in its own window.

Step 8

The summary is written by AI from a sample of the SD, so check anything important in the SD itself before you act on it.
